So this is one of those big big huge markers that I have been watching for. We need those currency options not to just stop for five days, but to stop permanently. But this is a good sign. Parliamentary Law: All roads lead to passing the budget, and consensus is the master of the situation
Baghdad.. A member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Omid Muhammad, confirmed, on Thursday, that there are no major political differences that impede the passage of the budget bill within the House of Representatives, indicating that all disputes in the budget have been resolved, especially those related between the Kurdistan region and the center.
Muhammad said, in an interview with Al-Maalouma Agency, that “all political forces support the passage of the law after the blessed Eid Al-Fitr holiday.”
Adding that “there are differences about the financial entitlement of the provinces and finding a solution to the deficit and the mechanisms of appointments in the budget.”
He added, “There are no political differences that impede the passing of the budget, stressing that the vote on the budget will take place after the blessed Eid al-Fitr holiday and will not take long.”
On Wednesday, the representative of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Walid Al-Sahlani, revealed that his alliance had registered two notes regarding the budget law, indicating that “the budget lacks the main objectives, in addition to not including raising the proportions of non-oil resources.”
